We chose Valentine's Day to announce a fund-raiser to cover the initial needs for the operations of the 10 Million Americans for Health Care Campaign. There are technical projects and promotional costs that need to be covered.
The amount is $117,000. We will start up the campaign for the purposes of not just establishing an initial base of participants, but also asking those initial participants to be as generous as their budget allows on establishing this $117,000 amount to help cover 1) part of the costs of the years of development, 2) campaign start-up operational expenses that will occur, and 3) start-up projects that need to be completed for the website and for promotional ads.
